28 Day Challenge - Day 11

11 days and still going strong. I cant help but think, WTAF?!?


11 consecutive days in the gym and to be completely honest, I've not been slacking. I think the biggest eye opener was comparing it to the average of 3 or 4 days I was doing per week and realising that ive done around 3 weeks of training in 11 days and still feeling great.


The biggest achievement in the last 11 days though, was putting in my first 1,000 calorie session on the treadmill.

I was absolutely buzzing breaking that barrier!


Secondly, in the space of 2 weeks I can tell I'm getting fitter. The treadmills in the gym have heart rate sensors on. When I started running my heart rate was up around mid to high 160bpm. At points tipping over the 170bpm mark.

During my runs over the past 24 hours, my heart rate has averaged around 155-158bpm.


The last 11 days has gone very well and looks as follows,


Day 1/28 - 10th June.

20 mins bike. Chest. Biceps.


Day 2/28

10 mins bike. Back. Shoulders. Traps.


Day 3/28

67 mins treadmill.

1hr interval running at 3min walk x 7 min run. 4.8kph / 7.2kph.

861 calories burnt.


Day 4/28

69 mins treadmill.

1hr interval running at 2.5min walk x 7.5 min run. 4.8kph / 7.2kph.

930 cals burnt.


Day 5/28

Sore day. Tight achilles and hamstrings.

Started on treadmill as per yesterday for first 30 mins.

61 mins total but only 6.2km.

774 calories burnt.


Day 6/28

10 min bike

Chest, back and quads.


Day 7/28

10 mins bike.

Shoulders. Traps and upper back.


Day 8/28

75 mins treadmill.

2:30 / 7:30 intervals. 4.8kph / 7.2kph.

Then a push to 1000 calories. (First time)

1035 total cals burnt.


Day 9/28

10 mins bike.

Chest. Triceps. Traps. Biceps.


Day 10/28

70 mins treadmill.

2:30 / 7:30 intervals. 4.8kph / 7.2kph.

935 calories burnt


Day 11/28

70 mins treadmill.

2:30 / 7:30 intervals. 4.8kph / 7.2kph.

934 calories burnt



Back to it tomorrow... we're almost half way!
