Summer 28 Day Challenge

Despite a few recent setbacks in my worklife, mentally and physically I've come a long way since the start of 2026. But as happy as I am with the progress, I'm keen to push on, specifically with my physical fitness and training.
I've always had 1 eye on the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the middle of July. With that in mind, I'm keen to set myself a summer challenge in my last push up to the event.
Whilst I'm enjoying the gym, it's still feeling kinda forced. Like I have to make a conscious effort to get there, so in a bid to ingrain it in my daily life, I've set myself a 28 day challenge.

28 gym sessions in 28 days.
Now I know that sounds extreme and rest days are important etc etc. But some gym sessions wont be as rigorous as others. The whole point is to keep showing up. Most importantly, showing up on the days where I really dont want to.
Removing the "couch vs gym" debate on the days where I really can't be bothered, and where the couch is currently winning because I can go tomorrow.
I know it'll be tough, but thats the point in a challenge. Right?
I may fail. I may fall short. But the next 4 weeks are all about personal growth. Testing my mental strength, grit and resilience.
For the last 4 years, the only growth I have seen is in my waistline and the size of my arse.
4 weeks isn't exactly long enough to reverse the damage from that period, but it's enough to test my mettle and commitment. Its enough to put me on a road to a happier and healthier version of me.
Im excited to head into summer with light at the end of the tunnel!
I'll document my progress. I'm not sure if it will be daily, weekly, or at the start and end. Whatever I decide, I'll report back at some point.
For the time being, I have some lettuce wraps calling my name!
