Other than sliced and deep fried potatoes, I've never ate so much veg on a daily basis. Let alone enjoyed filling my face with green stuff like broccoli and green beans.

Mentally, I don't recognise myself and I hope I wont recognise myself physically soon enough.

This month I even started back at the gym. Yes, I will say that again. I went to the gym.

Not once. Not twice. But multiple times.

You can cancel that missing person report, I've not been abducted, honestly, it's still me. I did tell you that this thing was changing my approach to life.

My gym has an app where you can scan the QR code on the machine and log your workouts. I checked my app and I've not been the gym since September 2024. I vaguely remember it being a slog back then. A way of trying to force myself into a reset and positive frame of mind. I only had a couple of sessions logged during the tail end of 2024, but on reflection it was obvious that the deep dark mental hole I'd been in had been haunting me for a lot longer than I first suspected.

I'm conscious that starting Mounjaro has given me the potential to lose a significant amount of weight in the coming months. And whilst that is amazing, I also do not want to look like a deflated balloon. So I decided to order some collagen supplements from Nutrition Geeks.

Collagen supplement from Nutrition geeks

Like with the Co-op, I'm not affiliated or sponsored by Nutrition Geeks.

Other than charging my debit card and P&P my orders, they don't know I exist, but this is what I've been taken daily for the past few weeks.

The collagen supplement comes in a powder from and I just add 2 tablespoons to a coffee at the start of each day.

Whilst it's unflavoured, it does make my coffee taste slightly different. It's hard to describe. It's not worse nor is it better. But there's a hint of something in there.

This is the only supplement I'm currently taking. I'm getting nutrients from my veg intake and I'm really trying to consume protein through my diet.

I aiming to be eating things like meat or beans etc, rather than taking protein supplements.

I will admit, I occasionally shop for a protein bar or yoghurt etc, but this is mainly due to making better snack choices as opposed to supplementing my protein intake.

Whilst making the most of now, I'm also trying to form new habits that will make this journey sustainable for the long term.

So that's it really, with my veg consumption, weight loss and collagen supplements, I'm hoping to go full Benjamin Button 2.0 by summer.

I have tickets booked for my annual pilgrimage to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.

Whether its feeling good or looking good (Hopefully both).... I wanna be "Good for Goodwood" in summer.

Here's to hoping!
