My Mounjaro Weight Loss Journey: Before the first jab

I'm dying inside of shame as I write this post but the condition I've got myself into is horrendous, made worse by my short ass 5ft 7" stature. My physique currently resembles that of a South Park character, although I haven't yet had the audacity to convince people I'm big boned.
Throughout this journey I may share the "before" photos, when I have some respectable progress or "after" pictures. Then again, I may not have the balls to do that.
But for the time being, my xxl clothing is stretched to the point where it is effectively too small now, my hoodie currently fits like a surfers wetsuit and I'm struggling to put on my socks in the morning.
Physically reading this on the page makes me want the world to open up and swallow me whole. But hey, we can't dwell on or change the past!
I say this from a point of sheer embarrassment for allowing things to get this bad, but to also illustrate my starting point and need for a drastic lifestyle change.

Understanding Mounjaro
I've always been quite anti-drugs to fix an issue. If I've got a headache, I'd much rather opt for a pint of water and/or a nap to get over it, as opposed to reaching for a box of paracetamol. I know the goal of pharma companies is to manage an illness, never to cure it, otherwise they'd have no customers and wouldn't make billions of dollars every year.
But despite this general objection whilst I was waddling round at the size of a house with numerous chaffed body parts, from the sidelines I watched on and saw what Mounjaro was doing for my friends and family and how it was helping them.
So before I get harpooned and shipped off to Seaworld... It's the 30th January and with my first salary from my new job, I've been online and checked out with my order.
The purchase process
I purchased my first dose of Mounjaro from Morrisons Clinic online. I ordered the smallest dose of 2.5mg and paid a total of £149.
Morrisons is actually the closest supermarket and pharmacy to my home address, this is why I opted for them. I assumed given the nature of the purchase, I'd be expected to collect in store but that wasn't the case and it was delivered to me.
The purchase process with Morrisons wasn't great if I'm being entirely honest. The initial checkout required pictures of ID, a selfie, full body picture from the front, full body picture from the side and a picture stood on the scales. This was OK, I got everything they needed, then checked out with my order.
The annoyance came next really. Despite the above, I received a text saying they needed further information. They wanted me to upload the images again. I also filled out the information online which included details of my GP etc and submitted.
I then waited whilst this information was reviewed.
My phone pinged a short while later, "we need more information to approve your Morrisons clinic order".
I filled out the same information as before. Double checking everything and ensuring there were no typos etc.
2nd February and my phone pinged again, "we need more information to approve your Morrisons clinic order". What the hell is wrong with these morons?????
Well it turns out on the form I completed, it asks for your 10 digit NHS reference number. However on said form, it explicitly states this is optional and not a requirement.
So I download the NHS app, create a log in etc etc etc and get my reference number off my profile. I complete the Morrisons form again including this information.
Assuming there were no additional requirements, I waited for confirmation my jabs were ready for collection.
But no! I got an email from Morrisons......

I'd spoken to friends about this who advised the companies they'd used had done all this on their behalf. So it was pretty annoying after going round in circles with the compulsory "optional" info that I now had to call my GP and request that they send this information to Morrisons.
However, all credit to Jill at my local GP, she sorted this whilst I was on the phone. Doctors receptionists stereotypically have a bit of a bad reputation, but Jill was super helpful and even CC me on the email she sent.
3rd February my order was finally approved and the anxious wait for delivery begins.
