5mg and a different food shop

I feel pretty bloody good at the moment, this week I moved onto the 5mg jab, I've changed things up a bit with my food shop and I've passed the 10kg mark with my weight loss. So, despite having a mountain to climb, I'm feeling damn pleased with how things are progressing thus far.
Lets start with the jabs. So I felt really good on the 2.5mg but I was also aware that it's more of an introductory dose, allowing your body a period of adjustment as opposed to anything else. Despite feeling great, I made the jump to 5mg. As I previously mentioned, I have no intention of racing through the doses, and to be truthful, I actually want to avoid the higher doses all together if possible.
I'm about 6 days into the first step up on 5mg and still haven't felt any side affects at all. I stuck with my original plan of jabbing on a Thursday evening in preparation to combat any potential side affects, but as with the first jab, I haven't had any.
Again, no headaches, no nausea or upset stomach. The only difference I've felt on the higher dose it that for the first few days, I felt kinda full. Permanently.
This has got me wondering, "the bigger the elephant, the bigger the tranquiliser" and all that, but for the time being, I'll proceed as per guidelines.
Anyway I digress.
I woke up on Friday morning and felt like I'd had a decent sized breakfast, despite having not eaten or drank anything at all.
This feeling of fullness continued and was somewhat exaggerated post-meals to be honest. I've been eating decent amounts of food since I started, but I found myself asking if I'd made too much?
In relation to my food shop. I decided to mix things up a bit this week. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the good fuel meals from co-op, but I just fancied a change. Especially as I have no cravings.
Aldi was my chosen destination to fill up my fridge this week and I got a decent haul.
It still alarms me that 50 quid on a shopping trip seems "decent", yet it fits into a single carrier bag. (But that feeling of Britain's being ripped off permanently is bigger than me or this blog and a discussion for another day.)
My haul from Aldi looked like this......

A grand total of £49.36
The eagle eyed amongst you will noticed a lower carb themed shop. Like I say, I just fancied mixing it up a little.
I also treated myself to a specially selected Wagyu Ribeye, which I'm going to enjoy with some sliced mushrooms and chopped onion this week.
Whilst some of the meat doesn't appear to be the healthiest, I was careful with my choices. I take time now to check the packaging, the ingredients and nutritional information. The Sausage patties for example are 96% pork and the burgers are around 97% beef (from memory). So again, whilst indulging a little, I'm trying to make this journey enjoyable and sustainable for the long term.
The steak alone was around £10 and the remaining £39 of my shop looked like;
Specially selected wagyu burgers - 2 boxes of 2
Specially selected cheese & onion quarter pounders - 1 box of 4
Italian Prosciutto - 2 packs of 9 slices
Corned Beef - 1 pack of 10 slices
Honey roast ham - 1 pack of 14 slices
Gouda - 1 pack of 16 slices
Breakfast port patties - 4 boxes of 6 patties
Crestwood Garden Veggies - 1 salt & pepper and 1 Garlic & herb.
Sundae protein pudding - 2 pots.
Sliced mushrooms - 1 bag
Diced Onion - 1 bag
Roasted Pistachios - 1 large bag.
The biggest surprise was the garden veggies. The salt & pepper ones were bangin! I'm heading back to Aldi this evening to restock those. Highly recommended.
As I said in my previous posts, unless its a deep fried potato, I NEVER eat veg.
My dad once took the mick outta me when we went for a steak and ordered from a menu of "steak and 2 sides".
He absolutely ruined me because I got steak with chips and mash. (Yes, there was a large amount of beige food in my diet previously). He couldn't believe my order. No whether he was disgusted or proud is unclear, but I have to suspect it was the former.
But that's the good thing I've experienced on this jab so far, its changed not only the way I think about food but also the manner in which I enjoy it.
Who would have thought food had this much colour outside of peanut m&m's!!
